2017 Small Lot Petit Verdot
With a deep purple color, this dark delicious wine mirrors the dark fruit on the palate. Notes of blackberry and fig are accentuated with licorice and coconut. Concentrated fruit is round and full with powdery tannins making this wine enjoyable with food or on its own.
This vintage of Petit Verdot is sold out. We will be releasing the 2018 vintage to club members in May of 2023.

Vineyard Notes
The fruit for this wine is grown at our Estate Milt's Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills. This vineyard sits on southeast slopes above the Columbia River. The orientation of the blocks allows for morning sun exposure of the fruit, while avoiding the intense afternoon rays.
Production Notes
The grapes were harvested and sorted in the vineyards with our "Selective Harvester" to allow for maximum hangtime and flavor development. The fruit was not crushed in order to preserve as much whole-berry as possible. We feremented the fruit in a stainless steel tank with a combination of pumpovers and rack & returns (délestage) to control extraction and flavors. After fermentation, the wine was racked to barrels constisting of Amercan oak for malolactic fermentation. The wine was barrel aged for 20 months.
