2020 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine is expressive and layered with ripe cherries and fresh strawberries flavors. Undertones of roasted coffee meld seamlessly with the fruit. Subtle herbal touches of thyme add a savory freshness and earthy backbone, balancing the ripe fruit flavors. A faint note of caramel lingers, offering a smooth and slightly toasty finish.

Vineyard Notes
The fruit for this wine is grown at our acclaimed Estate vineyards in the Horse Heaven Hills, and is primarily sourced from our Cavalie and Eagle & Plow Vineyards. The fruit is exposed to dappled sunlight, allowing for uniform ripening and flavor development. Well balanced crop levels have allowed us to create wines with great depth and concentration.
Production Notes
The grapes were harvested and sorted int he vineyards with our "Selective Harvester" to allow for maximum hangtime and flavor development. The fruit was not crushed in order to preserve as much whole-berry as possible. We fermented the fruit in a stainless steel tank with twice daily pumpovers. After fermentation, the wine was drained and pressed into barrels for malolactic fermentation. The wine was barrel aged for 20 months in 68% new French oak.
